January 31st 2023: A downtown square that has seen better days is soon to get a makeover. O’ Bryant Square which is near Southwest Park Avenue and Harvey Milk Street has seemed to be long forgotten where graffiti as well as drug dealing have taken over.
The square has been fenced off and closed since 2018 because of structural issues with the parking garage that’s underneath the square. Portland Parks and Recreation plans to demolish the square and, bring in experts as well as working with the community to reimage the square..
